I’m Des Grey, mastering engineer and founder of Des Grey Mastering. For over two decades I’ve been behind the console, driven by an obsession with client service, acoustic precision, and pure analog tone.

I’ve spent countless hours fine-tuning every single link in my chain, obsessing over vacuum tubes, selecting custom transformers, and dialling in room acoustics. For me, mastering isn’t just about technical compliance or chasing sheer volume. It’s about FEEL.

My goal from day one was to create a dedicated space for South African artists and producers who wanted more, creators who wanted to make records that genuinely feel good. Over time that vision expanded, and international clients now rely on the same uncompromising standard of tone, care, and translation to bring their music to life.
